St. Mary’s Academy Alumnae
St. Mary’s Academy in Nauvoo, IL, was established when the Sisters moved to Nauvoo in 1874. After 123 years of providing progressive college preparatory education to young women, the school closed in 1997.
In 2001, the Sisters moved St. Mary Monastery to their new home in Rock Island, Illinois.
The Sisters have so many warm memories from their time in Nauvoo, and hope to stay connected to alumnae. St. Mary Monastery publishes a seasonal newsletter, Connecting Point, and post regular updates to our website’s Recent Stories collection, as well as our Facebook page.
